I recently had a brewing acquaintance who wanted to source Castle Malt in SE Asia for a new brewing project there. He didn’t know who to reach out too.
He asked if I know someone who could help him. Well with my network of brewing contacts in Asia I was able to put him in contact with the right people.
I’m a big fan of Castle Malt myself, having used it when I brewing for Dargett Brewery in Armenia. At Dargett they make traditional Belgium, Czech and German style beers. So, think Tripel, Helles and Pilsner.
Castle Malt is great for these styles of beers but, we were also making a pale ale and stouts with this malt too. They do have malts for all styles of beer.
When I was working with Dargett, they were ordering it direct from Castle. However, it’s not so easy in SE Asia.
For instance, I’ve heard in Indonesia there are some trading issues with Europe, so ordering direct might not be an option where you’re based.
The option my acquaintance was looking at was ordering via China. As many of you know this is where I’m based so was able to help him.
Ordering Castle Malt in Asia
So, as part of my effort to help my friend, I reached out to my Castle Malt contact in China. They also assist for breweries in wider Asia too.
As my contact put it, they’re happy to help where they can. Due to the distance of SE Asia from where Castle Malt is produced in Belgium.

To help out I got in touch with my contact in China. Then passed on the information to my friend who wanted Castle Malt in SE Asia. They’re now working on the logistics to get the malt to where it’s needed.
Warehouse For Castle Malt in Vietnam
It’s also been brought to my attention Castle malt has a warehouse in Vietnam too which helps the serve the needs of SE Asia more easily.
The reason for this post was to make people aware that it’s possible to get Castle Malt in Asia, if you would like too.
