5HL Brewhouse for Sale – 3-Vessel Steam

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

There’s a 5HL brewhouse for sale. It’s what we call a “German system”. Meaning, it has combined mash/kettle and lauter/whirlpool. The whirlpool is below the lauter tun.

These are systems often fabricated by brewery equipment manufactures, as it allows clients to have a 3-vessel system on a 2-vessel footprint. Making it ideal for brewpubs, where having a small footprint for equipment is desirable

The mash/kettle has a mixing paddle for aiding mixing in the mash. The kettle/mash is jacketed so, step mashing is an option too.

The day before brew day, water can be heated in the kettle. This water can be used for both mashing-in and sparging, with the water being pushed to where needed.

Heat Exchanger

The heat exchanger is two-stage, using both mains water and glycol to chill the wort. This unit also comes with a wort aeration unit too.

Other notes

This system is very much a manual system with minimal pipework. However, if need some automation can be added as required. Think of this as a basic set-up, to build-up from.

It presents an opportunity for a brewery to make modifications as needed, to fit their needs. This system is ideal to use with a electric steam generator.

It comes with one pump which is used for all brewing needs, as seen in the picture above. This brewhouse was ordered by a client, who couldn’t go through with the final purchase so, now it for general sale.
